A Letter from the Founder

Belgrade awakens before we even notice. Light glides down the facades of buildings as the first trams drift through a half-empty Boulevard. Sometimes, I manage to catch this moment of untouched peace—if only because my four-legged companion has business to attend to. As we wander the neighborhood, we hear a coffee machine hum to life somewhere. Somewhere, someone throws open a window.
In those quiet morning moments, before the day begins to accelerate, I often find myself thinking about how much the world has changed. We live in a time of constant movement — economic crises, political tensions, endless streams of information. Everything seems to demand faster decisions, quicker answers, immediate results. As if speed has become the only measure of value.
At the same time, our days unfold in front of screens. Cities pulse with noise — glowing billboards, endless lines of cars, and obligations that seem never to end. Yet the body and the mind do not live at that speed. They ask for pauses and for quiet. For the touch of something real — grass beneath our feet, or a swim in a cold river.
At some point I began to wonder when the simplest things had become a luxury. A quiet morning, a walk without a phone in hand, or a conversation that lasts longer than planned. Time spent with people who understand us without many explanations. Perhaps the answer to all that chaos — which often feels impossible to escape — is simpler than we think.
I began to wonder how we might resist it. Perhaps the answer is simply to decide to slow down — consciously and with intention. To return to what, in moments when we can think clearly, we already know to be right: sincere friendships, reconnecting with nature, and small rituals that bring us back to ourselves. It is from this feeling that SENNE was born.
My professional experience in economics, trade, and the international business environment brought structure, discipline, and a long-term perspective. But my personal experience with sensitive skin taught me something equally important — attention. Attention to formulations. To ingredients that work with the skin, not against it. To products that are thoughtful, quiet, and sincere.
Over time, this attention was joined by a love of design — objects that are beautiful yet unobtrusive. Objects that make everyday rituals slower and more present. SENNE is the place where these ideas meet: discipline and design, performance and personal understanding.
Here, products are chosen slowly. Without noise and without rush.
Because skincare, at its most beautiful, is not only about results. Sometimes it is simply a moment in the day when we pause and breathe. We feel the texture of the cream on our skin, the light in the room, the scent of the morning.
And we remember that slowing down is not a weakness. Perhaps it is precisely the way we find our balance again.
