Absolution
When I began building SENNE, I had a clear sense of what kind of brands belonged in this space. Not just what they do for the skin — but why they exist. Where they come from. Who stands behind them, and whether that person truly believes in what they're doing.
When I came across Absolution, the feeling was simple: this is it.
Not because of certifications, not because of the packaging, not because it's French and organic — though all of that is true. But because of something harder to name. The sense that behind every formula, someone asked themselves a question they actually meant: does this make sense? Is this honest? Does this serve a real purpose? Brands that are born from questions like those have something distinct about them. You can feel it — in the texture, in the scent, in the way your skin responds.
I knew immediately that Absolution belonged here.

There is something quietly remarkable about someone who knows every mechanism of an industry and chooses to do it differently. Not out of ignorance, but out of a precise understanding of what is wrong. Isabelle didn't walk away from the industry — she questioned it. And in September 2009, surrounded by talented people and a small but exceptionally advanced laboratory, she founded Absolution. A brand that wasn't created to fill a shelf. But to ask different questions.
I sometimes think that some of the most meaningful things come into being exactly this way — not from a strategic plan, but from a moment when someone says: I cannot do it any other way. Absolution is one of those brands. And that is why it belongs here.

Responsibility
Building a brand is a responsibility. Absolution has chosen differently from the very beginning. More than 99% of ingredients are of natural origin. More than 50% are certified organic. Packaging is made from recycled paper, printed with plant-based inks. Airless packaging protects the formulas and eliminates the need for preservatives. Nearly all products are made in France.
And then there are the details that aren't immediately visible, but can be felt. These products were not formulated to satisfy you — they were formulated to surprise you. That is a different ambition, and a different standard.
Absolution holds COSMOS Organic and Ecocert certifications not as proof that they are good enough, but as a minimum starting point. Because a certification is only the beginning of a conversation. What comes after it — every decision about a raw material, every step in the production chain, every compromise they refused to make — that is what truly defines a brand.
They are not perfect, but they are not static either. Every year, quietly and without fanfare, they get better — in their formulations, in their packaging, in their relationship with the living world they are trying to protect. Not because anyone is watching, but because it is the only way to do what you believe in.

Isabelle Carron and the decision that changed everything
Isabelle Carron spent years in the beauty industry as a creative director — first within major brands, then through her own agency. She worked with well-known cosmetics and fragrance houses, had a front-row view of how the industry operated behind the scenes, and understood the system from the inside. Which is precisely why she knew something was missing.
"For several years, I have worked as a Creative Director, and continued in this role within my own agency. This experience enabled me to work for various cosmetic and fragrance brands. But each time, I felt there was something missing… They seemed to lack sensitivity and sincerity. They needed to be more demanding, to have an aesthetic that would break with conventional codes. Maybe they just needed more freedom? But I was also never really satisfied with the products I bought – and neither was my skin. I knew it was possible to create skincare products that offered all I wanted from a brand I could love: one that was effective, natural and honest, with a soul… "

Philosophy and Mission
Absolution formulas work in bio-affinity with the skin — restoring the natural ecosystem that urban life gradually disrupts, and delivering the nutrients and antioxidants that slow the effects of time. Developed from certified organic or wild-harvested plant extracts, minerals and vitamins, they bring together scientific precision and something rarely found today — gentleness that makes no compromises.
The mission is to rediscover beauty — not as an ideal to strive toward, but as something that was always already there. In the morning light, in a cup of tea. In the texture of a cream beneath your fingers. In the moment you pause and breathe before the day accelerates. That is why they don't believe in perfect skin as a goal. They believe in healthy skin — balanced, cared for, its own. And in a glance in the mirror that is a little gentler, a little more grateful, toward what it sees.
